Remembering Sister Veronica Hoffmann, SLW
Sister Veronica Hoffmann passed away into eternal life on September 10, 2024 at the age of 90.
Eleanor Alma Hoffmann was born on May 6, 1934 in New Ulm, MN to Bernard & Veronica (Boettger) Hoffmann. In 1952 she graduated from Holy Trinity High School in New Ulm. Upon graduation, she entered religious life with the Sisters of Christian Charity. Veronica made her final profession in 1959 at the motherhouse in Wilmette, IL. In 1975 she chose to join a group of ninety sisters who formed a new community, the Sisters of the Living World (SLW). In 1981 Veronica moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family.
