Categories: Advent Reflections

Reread the Gospel passage. We know the Son of God to be Divine in his preaching and his healings, but he was also human in his caring for the physical well–being of the crowd that faithfully followed him for three days. His ATTENTIVE PRESENCE to their hunger went beyond pity to ACTION.

This Advent season you will be moved by many stories you hear about the lonely, the homeless, the abused, refugees, recovering addicts, victims of violence and abuse. As Jesus has shown us in his humanity, it is not enough to feel pity, but we must be prepared to ACT. God has given you all the resources you need to do so…your Time, your Talent, your Treasure. Be ATTENTIVE this Advent on how you can make a real difference in the lives of those in need…then DO IT!
