Blest are the eyes that see what you see. Isaiah 10:23

We are all striving to grasp the wisdom and understanding of our Lord and Savior. Our readings are reaching out to us and proclaiming the justice, peace, and faithfulness asked and given to each person, each child of God. We are called to a new, deeper awareness, a new, positive attitude in our relationships with each other. Our relationships to all the people of God that have been given to us, are a gift from God.

Congressman John Lewis so powerfully expresses our relationships by saying: “You have to be taught the way of peace, the way of love. In the religious sense, in the moral sense, you can say that in the heart of every human being, there is a spark of the divine.” In other words, we are called by Our Lord to see through the Gospels that we are asked to be a compassionate presence in the lives of others.

Here I am, Jesus. Send me. Amen.
