Join us this Thursday, April 28th, 2022, at 12pm CT as we speak with Sister Mary Joel Curcio about the Nuns on the Bus and their work toward driving systemic change.
As an article in Time Magazine shared, “In this age of the 24-hour news cycle, we must remind ourselves that America lives not at, but between, Republican and Democratic ideals. The Nuns on the Bus… [travel]… looking for solutions to the gaps Americans face… Nuns on the Bus wandered its way through the streets of America, gathering each evening with folks to hear how they might mend the gaps across the American divide: tax injustice, living wage, family-friendly workplaces, and access to democracy, healthcare, citizenship and housing. The light bulb went on as people began to see how the gap they face is integrated with the gap faced by someone else.”
Join us to hear about Sister Mary Joel’s experience with Nuns on the Bus directly!
While we prefer that attendees register, if you are seeing this message in close proximity to the event, you can join the session directly by clicking here.
Every month we gather for an intimate 45 minute discussion with a SLW Sister to talk about their ministry, service, life experiences, and the work that they are passionate about. These moderated discussions are followed by an open Q&A with our event attendees.
